Caitlin and Hunter’s Wedding

Categories: AntiquesAuthor:

Caitlin and Hunter had a beautiful wedding at the Library Ballroom in Macon, Georgia. Caitlin did most the decorations herself. Her palatte was  ivory/neutrals, gold, and various shades of green. She created a warm and natural vintage wedding theme. The table centerpieces had DIY tissue paper flowers in milk glass vases,  vintage books,  burlap and lace.  She had large sprays of eucalyptus around the room that looked and smelled lovely.

They used quite a few of our vintage treasures to help create the warm vintage ambience. Artist  Wyatt Ramsey drew a chalk wedding sign on our vintage large chalk board that was amazing! They used our vintage furniture for a lounge area next to the dance floor, a vintage trunk to house the dancing props, and wood crates on the dessert tables.

We wish Caitlin and Hunter a life of happiness and love!

New Vintage Treasures for our Brides to Rent

Categories: AntiquesTags: , , , , , , , , , , , , Author:

We are so excited about the treasures we have found in the past 2 days!  We found so many things that will be perfect to rent for a wedding photo session, ceremony or reception.  We can’t wait to clean them up and post them online for you all to rent.

Here are some of the treasures we found yesterday and today:

We almost didn’t pick this old candy tin with a box of tins we purchased because it looked to good to be vintage. What our research shows so far is that McAfee Candy Company was in Macon Georgia 1930-1950s. I found one picture online  of a glass jar for this particular candy “Pilot Kisses”  and someone commented that her dad brought them to her during WW2.

If you know anything about these “Pilot Kisses” candy or McAfee Candy Co, please share your information with us, Thanks!

This little white iron chair with yellow cushions is perfect for pictures of the bride getting ready for the wedding.  Think how cute a pair of teal shoes would look on that vintage yellow chair..

Bright yellow rotary phone….

Teal vintage electric fan…

Navy blue chippy paint wood tool box…

and an amazing green chippy paint table and chairs set!!

Baby’s Breath Wedding Flowers

Categories: AntiquesAuthor:

I am in love with baby’s breath for  vintage inspired weddings. Baby’s breath is a simple and lovely flower. It has the same charming, airy feel as vintage decor which, to me,  says come in, relax and enjoy!  I first fell in love with baby’s breath wreaths then  found so many great ideas.  Baby’s breath (Gypsophilia) is not only pretty but also easy to work with and economical. I can’t wait to make some wreaths.

Here are some of my favorite finds and their links.
