A Little About Us

We love old treasures! Our first house, built in 1920, was originally a honeymoon cottage for the Rooney Plaza Hotel in Miami, Florida. We loved coming to Macon, Georgia (Bill’s family home) to find antiques for our home. We moved to Macon in the spring of 2007. Here we found another slightly larger old home that we cherish. Our home was built in 1937 and was designed by the female architect, Ellamae Ellis League. We deeply appreciate the beautiful things surrounding us in Macon: big old oak trees, charming old houses, stunning wood furniture, antique silver and china, and dusty books.

You might say that old is in our soul.

In 2011, we started collecting vintage items in anticipation of our daughter’s wedding. We loved the process of searching, finding and restoring the unique treasures that would make the wedding even more special. We loved it so much we decided to create Southern Vintage. We relish the opportunity to share our treasures with you to help create a unique personalized wedding or special event.
