We enjoy traveling all over the southeast with our vintage treasures. We have gone from Miami to South Carolina, from Savannah to Newnan.  We really would love to share our rental  treasures with our neighbors here in Macon.  We rent china, flatware, glassware, furniture, escort card pieces, suitcases, clocks, radios, lamps, chandeliers and more.

We have a large collection of vintage stoneware: dinner, salad, and dessert plates and accent pieces. We are discounting our rental price for our vintage stoneware to 50 cents a plate for the year 2013!

Vintage Stoneware Rental Price 50 cents each

Rent these fabulous navy blue and white ticking table runners for your wedding or event. The runners are 105″ (8.75′) long x 13.5″ wide, 17 available. The edges of the runners are unfinished and they have a lovely short fringe one each side.

Rental Price $8 each. If you rent 10 or more we will discount the price to $6 each.

Megan and Josh rented a few of our vintage props to add a unique touch to their engagement photo session. Our vintage radio, quilt, bedspread and picnic basket looked perfect in the vintage truck. Megan and Josh are so cute they didn’t need the props but the props look fabulous alongside this adorable couple.

They used quite a few of our vintage treasures to help create the warm vintage ambience. Artist  Wyatt Ramsey drew a chalk wedding sign on our vintage large chalk board that was amazing! They used our vintage furniture for a lounge area next to the dance floor, a vintage trunk to house the dancing props, and wood crates on the dessert tables.

Blooming Flour Bakery

Blooming Flour Bakery is a little slice of heaven in Newnan, Georgia! Cindy Bruce with Blooming Flour Bakery makes delicious and beautiful cakes.  She creates cakes in all different styles, for all different events. Her cakes are so beautiful that you think there is no way they will taste good too. But they truly are superb.

We saw how beautiful her cakes are at her open house over the summer.

This past week we went to the Blooming Flour Bakery for a tasting for our daughter’s wedding cake.

The bakery is a bright and pretty pink, white and black haven. Cindy listens to the bride’s wishes on designs and flavors as well as offers sage advise from her experience pertaining to weddings and their cakes.

The three different cakes we tried were so very delicious. The chocolate cake was moist and tasty and the peanut butter filling and chocolate cream icing were scrumptious. The yellow cake was one of the best yellow cakes I have ever had, light and tasty! It was fabulous with the lemon filing or the strawberry. They were all so perfect that our daughter had a hard time picking just one! So she picked chocolate peanut butter for groom’s cake and yellow lemon for the wedding cake.

We have created table number holders from vintage door knobs (brass, silver, crystal, copper, painted, rusty), wood spools and china lids.  We have 20 door knob holders, 8 wood spool holders and 10 china lid holders. I am sure we will add to our inventory as we collect more spools and china lids.

The Blacksmith Shop

“Originally constructed about 1890 as the W.H. Schatzman Blacksmith Shop and Carriage Facility the building originally fronted on Cherry Street Lane, while another building stood where the courtyard entrance is now located. The building on Poplar Street suffered from extreme fire damage and would later be torn down in the 1970’s.

For years the blacksmith shop and carriage facility were used for a number of purposes until the space finally served as a parking garage in the mid 1990’s. In 1996, Marco Danese with Damaste Real Estate purchased the building and the vacant lot which faced Poplar Street with the vision of an incredible space for a restaurant and social gatherings.

One of the primary goals during renovation was to preserve the buildings architectural integrity. Architects maintained the original heart pine timbers, clearstory windows, hand made bricks and arched openings originally used for carriages. Fixtures for the new space were all handcrafted with designs in keeping with the buildings original use.

Today the courtyard is fully landscaped and the building has been painstakingly and beautifully restored paying homage to the wonderful craftsmen who constructed it more than a century ago.”
